Summary:

123w came up with the bold concept “Terra Knows”: we know our boots hold up, because we test them until they can’t. As Director of Photography, my job was to bring that to life visually by destroying the boots in the most cinematic way possible.

We used ultra high frame-rate cameras, probe lenses, and dramatic dolly shots to capture every moment of destruction – 100% practically, in-camera. From molten leather dripping in slow motion to jackhammers crushing toe caps, every scene was designed to push the limits.

Favorite shot? Hard to choose between the sledgehammer smash, fire melt, or piston impact – they were all ridiculously fun to shoot.
